The last weekend of July we participated in the national 'Open Atelier Dagen'. Workshops all over the Netherlands open their doors to the public and so did our workshop for the first time.

No new visitors
The open atelier dagen were a nice experience but didn't bring any new visitors to our workshop. During the weekend friends, family and neighbours whom we invited came to say hello and look at our art. We were surprised that nobody else that we had not invited came by because the organisation did quite a lot of promotion about the event online.
For a starting artist I would not recommend participating in this event if you want to reach out to new people. If you want to invite family and friends organise a nice event yourself. It will safe you 50 Euro's you can spend on drinks!
